I can't say I ever played with him, but Scotty Travis is a local dude who I know....he is currently with Judas Priest (played on Painkiller....great drumming by the way). He also played with Racer-X. Dude is just sick on the drums....

If has beens count, I played in a band in the early nineties called "The Cast". The founder, guitarist, lead vocalist and writer was a guy named Myles Cohen. He was in a band called "Myles and Lenny" and they won for best new artist on year in 1976 at the Juno Awards (Canadian grammys). We did an updated version of that song. It was called "Can You Give It All to Me".

I took lessons from a Musicians Institute cat who is now Amy Dalleys lead guitar player. She's got a record deal with Curb, and has opened for Toby Keith and Rascal Flats. And a childhood friend of my wife was the lead guitar player for Molly Hatchett for a while. He couldn't handle flying, so now he's a tattoo artist in Maryland, good dude.

And .. one time.. at band camp....

Dammit, my Bongo is due to be finished at the end of the month

I want it now, NOW,NOW!

please

I used to Jam with Denny Laine about 15 years ago. This was post Moody Blues and Wings.

He subsequently went on to be infamous.

Well, let’s see, as a keys and sax man I played with Reba, Tanya Tucker, Charlie Daniels, the Bellamy Brothers, Crash Craddock, Charlie McCoy and quite a few others.

As a bassist…. nobody famous….. YET! :D

I think you've aced us all here, Chuck!

Chuck wins...

For what it's worth, though.. in high school I had a band with Scott Riebling on bass. He went on to be part of the band "Letters to Cleo". Nowadays he's a hot-shot record producer in Boston.

His older brother Eric was in a local band called "The Affordable Floors" for a long time, and then he acheived a little fame as a member of the band "The Gathering Field" (they had a tune called "Lost in America").

That's all I've got...

erm well.....The mighty Quinn from Snow Patrol (infact two of my friends have sung on the current album and a good mate called Iain Archer won an Ivor Novello award for his writing on the last album), Alex from Franz Ferdinand, Chris the guitarist from Belle and Sebastian, and the chaps from Mogwai.
I tell you Glasgow is such an incestuous music scene. But it is great to see alot of friends finally doing really well.:D

Oh jazz wize - Peter King and Jack Parnell

Chuck, when did you play with Reba?

I only ask because my cousin Owen Hale has done more than a few tours with her. He's a great drummer if somewhat over-convinced that Nashville is the center of the universe.

Jack it was a very long time ago, she didn’t have a band yet. She had just signed a record deal and was headed to NYC. I was playing in a band that was led by a radio DJ that had won CMA’s DJ of the Year award eight years in a row. Needless to say there were always country artists stopping by to schmooze him. Reba was one.

We backed her up on two shows; she just did standards (country standards). She was very nice and a lot nervous, and didn’t sound at all like she does now. About 15 years later I was touring with the Bellamy’s and we did a show together, she remembered me and that day. I’m not a fan or anything but she still was very nice.

Sometime I should tell some stories about that radio jock, it was an amazing period.

Damn, Chuck! That's impressive!

I've jammed on the fiddle with some semi-popular Cajun musicians...Doug Kershaw, Jo-El Sonnier, Wayne Toups, & Jimmy C. Newman.
