has the musicman assembly changed since 1976?

do they still make the instruments the same way they did back in the late 70s today? or is it done differently? thanks for your help

True. And we have newer tools now. I heard Leo used live beavers to chew the bodies into shape.(much like how my wife whups me into shape :eek: ) We now have CNC machines that can do the work of 1,000 beavers.(please don't tell Lisa)
 
Along with that, the strings are also older, so if you prefer a bright crisp sound, you'll probably have to change them as soon as it arrives.

However, if you like 'em dead & thumpy, then they're great right out o' the box.
 
I heard that these days they use a cordless screwdriver when fitting the pickguard, whereas in the old days it was a plain old rachet screwdriver.
