Gonna say "No"...

I like the way the crescent shape is carried throughout the design of the bass, including the headstock...

Hehe, I guess it would be a resounding 'no' then! I was implying only as a curiosity, I love the way the Bongo looks already, but to have a headless option (which compliments the horns quite well, IMO, would be pretty cool =]

There wouldn't be anything to hit cymbols, mic stands, etc. with. More appropriate, maybe, would be if they all came with the little ding on the head that I've heard they all eventually get.

Honestly, as it looks in that picture isn't too offensive to me (although, it still pales compared to the headstock reality).

But, considering what would be required to actually tune the thing, it quickly goes to "Yuck--why bother?" territory.

Without the headstock, I would have nothing with which to hit drummers over the head when they rush, or fend off toothless, drunken Skynyrd-seekers.

I believe if we rephrased this as "topless Jessica Alba," I'm fairly certain we could find some common ground for everyone to agree.

Are you suggesting that some people would like it if the pickguard was removed? :p
