I'm not entirely sure just yet, but it appears quite possible that Heinz the Wonder Bass will be coming back to Camp Bovine.

So much for the single PU Bongo!

RE: Heinz

doesn't a member named "Army Bass" have the same color ? I thought I saw a green SR5 on his entry in the Bass Picture forum.

Whoa. That'd be pretty cool. You and Heinz deserve each other.

Hmmm....that doesn't sound right. :D

Maybe I will be the first with a single H Bongo (and, therefore, all three varieties), after all.

Well, it's quite a story, what happened to Heinz. Let's just say that Heinz was purchased new by yours truly, traded away to Mr Armybass in a moment of madness, who then went even more insane than me, and Heinz even hung for a while in a Guitar Center (poor baby).........

....but was rescued by a mysterious Eastern person who has had Heinz for a while now, but is thinking of letting it go. We are in negotiations.

I hope you get it back. Its a great looking bass, and lately, you've been losing the Stingray faith.

Well, I remember when Heinz was parted out, and sold with a fretless neck, or something. If I remember correctly, Scott took some serious crap from the Pit for that (unjustified, IMO).

Do you think Heinz could play nicely with the Bongos? Or, would he be jealous, and try and drown them in their sleep?

Yes, Heinz had some dental work done, all his teeth were removed....and you're right about the abuse Scott took. It was HIS bass.

When Horace got it, he somehow came up with a fretted rosewood board, and that's what is on Heinz now.

I've seen photos - it looks GREAT with the rosewood board.

Heinz at Camp Bovine once again! It is fate, destiny, whatever you believe in, but Heinz has always really been "MY" bass.

I almost returned my SR5 to GC under the 30 day return policy to get a Geddy Lee Sig J-Bass, and would have had some serious separation anxiety regardless of my SR5's diverse color. I'm glad I decided to keep the SR5, I'm in the process of ordereing a white pearloid P/G that will enhance it's diverse color even futher.

Wow! The Heinz looks far more shexier with the rosewood fretboard! Does the new neck have a matching headstock?

I agree, the rosewood board looks great with that color. The color of the maple board used to clash with the color of the body a little bit (to me anyway). Congrats, it looks awesome. :D

Unlike most of you, I perfer maple necks as opposed to rosewood. While I was reading the thread I didn't like that idea of her as a brunette (though I really enjoy brunettes - the human ones at least) - but after seeing the pic, I must say the rosewood neck suits her fine!

Congrats!
