Hello everybody.... I am an Ernie Ball addict. I am from New England and a new member of the forum and a proud owner of a Blueburst Steve Morse model, which I purchased 2 months ago. I love it!!! I also have been interested in getting a Petrucci so I just purchased a wounded JPM-6 with a broken truss rod on E*** for cheap. I have been gassing for one,I felt sorry for it ,so I bought it. My hope is that it will play ok while under string tension(I know it's a long shot.). Most likely it will either need a repair or a new neck. Anybody have a JPM neck??? I am hoping BP or anybody else can give me some guidance as to how I should go about repairing the old neck or about ordering a replacement neck so I can make a plan of attack. I have a habit of trying to revive guitars that were left for dead. Your help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards

welcome......
i cant think yer gonna get much help around here w/ yer addiction......other than to know yer not alone..

as far as your broken neck......ebmm May sell u a new neck......but only if they are provided the old one.
a snapped truss rod is pretty much an excessive labor intensive & very specialized tool wise repair that for mere mortals.....is not worth it.
i also got 6 or so morses around somewhere....

EBMM will supply you with a new neck, but will want the old one back in order to sell it to you. Call Customer service and they will see you right!

Welcome to the Forum!
Hanging out here is awesome, but will only make your addiction worse!!!! :D ;)

I would just arrange, and have the whole guitar sent to them.
Jon will make it like new!

Hey Al, where in New England are you?

I was eyeing that JP, but I'm pretty broke right now. Yah sure EBMM customer service should be able to take care of you.
