After a fun 2 days in the Bay Area I have landed in Crescent City CA. Tomorrow brings the final leg of my journey to start a journey.

Want to thank Randracula and Squidlizard for hosting me. You know something is up when you're stopping along the way to fondle EBMM basses.

Both Randy and Lisa have beautiful Sterlings. Randy's being a blue dawn and Lisa's being a DD.

A big Thank You to Lisa for braving SF traffic to show me the town. Was awesome to get to see all the landmarks you know from the movies in person. Lombard Street was a blast!

Pictures will be posted whenever I land on my internet feet again.

Arin, too bad I missed ya. Hopefully will catch up with you sometime soon.

T-bone, start thinking about some microbrewries.

Excellent! Glad you're seeing the sights and meeting some forumites along the way.

I got to meet Randracula this A.M. for the first time, and he is a righteous dude.

I made it to Corvallis. Nice little town. Going to take some getting used to. Tucson is a nice grid city. Corvallis is not.

The drive up the coast was gorgeous. If you ever get the chance, make the drive up US 101. Definitely a life highlight.

Tomorrow is "Trapse Across Campus" day.

Yeah Corvallis is a nice area, got a couple buddies there. And then you're not too far from Portland. All the bridges and water everywhere there are great sight to see.

Welcome to Oregon, Maddog.

Yes, it will take some getting used to. Corvallis (or cornvalley) is a small town compared to, well, just about any city. You are only 1.5 hours from civilization, however, where you'll find good food, great beer, and fantastic music.

Bring the bongo and we'll be sure to have some fun.

M-Dog,

Your mission, should you decide to take it, is to make the Crescent City/Corvallis area the new EBMM capital of this extreme (but very nice) part of Northern California/Southern Or.

And, you're not to far from the "gigs" down here in the Bay Area - "great location"!

Uhhh...Corvallis is nowhere remotely near the Bay area, about an 8hr drive to east bay. Not even near Cresent City either.

Kick,

To quote a Hagar tune; ". . . I can't drive 55. . . . !!" Actually, it's comparable to driving from SF to LA, which by the way, is done on the weekends by many, many players, including myself, who live in the SF Bay Area. The LA scene is only part of a day away!!

Also, the Bay Area, being a musical "hotspot" that it is, is really well within driving range from that part of the West Coast - sooooooooooo, pedal to the metal.

Crescent City to the Bay area ain't too bad. Corvallis is another 5 hours north. Portland is on my list. Will be a couple weeks though. Need to get settled in.

M-dog, yeah, I agree, Corvallis maybe be stretchin' it a tad. Well, unless it's a reallllllllllllllllly good gig!!

Good luck on getting situated up there, let us know when your "rear end" recovers and you're able to hit the road and come down and play in the Bay Area.:)

I'm laughing to myself here cause I knew you'd soon be craving a city. You made it 48 hours though ;)

We're wrapped up tomorrow night with a dinner party, etc....but you should come tonight. There's plenty going on.

I'll check my pm now and we'll connect.

I would but prior commitments call. I'll be hiding in the woods with a bunch of my fellow socially maladjusted grad students building plywood shacks and putting up fake mailboxes in hopes a USPS worker will pick up our manifestos in due time.
