Just wanted to say HELLO!

Have dealt with a couple of you, and been lurking a while. Also know a couple of people over here (Brett, Greg). I am a regular over at the various Jackson and Charvel forums, and have amassed large quantities of those in an effort to avoid getting better. I figure the more I buy, the better I get. Is that correct? SO why am I on the Ernie Ball board? Because no matter how hard I try, I cannot get away from the beauty and easy playability of the EB brand.

Currently own a green Axis, a natural Axis, and coming from Greg here, a Burst axis. I also used to own a faded EVH EB. never really got into the faded look, but have recently acquired a couple better examples. A purple and a Red.

I absolutely love essentially every EB I have played. Just so effortless. So thanks for having me, and happy hunting! I really find the lack of drama exhibited on this board to be a welcome change, and I look forward to helping out anyway I can!

Shawn in Tampa

BTW, heres an example of my Charvel problem.

Dude, welcome, let's see some pictures, we love the Porn.

Nice collection, funky paint jobs. :)

Create thread Called "DOB's please", list out what you got and someone from EBMM will look into for you, when they have the time.

Hey Jason, yeah, I did used to have a Silhouette, and I did sell it to you!

I have a good friend who owns a fairly big store down here, and he had gotten it in in trade. I played it for a few weeks, and decided I missed the floyd!

Hey there.

Obviously, being a Charvel fan, alot of their classic guitar were one hum. I certainly do have my share of guitars with neck pickups though. I also love old strats, PRS', Old Waynes, Gibbys, etc...I am an equal opprtunity player. I can stink on all of them!

Shawn

BTW, Which EVH?

Hah, small world! :p She was a beaut, that guitar. Have since sold it to a friend.

Glad you made it to the board- some of the coolest individuals I've ever met are here. A really solid forum!

Hi Shawn!

Welcome to the forums!

I checked the UPS site - said that Axis had been delivered today. Hope you enjoy it. My new kitchen cabinets are much appreciative of your purchase.

Just in case you're curious, I spent all weekend ripping apart my kitchen (cabinets, moldings, floor, electric - everything. I hurt so bad I can hardly type without pain!~ :D The good news - under our crappy old vinyl/tile floor is this beautiful maple hardwood. I've started my angling on what to do with the money we can save by just refinishing the old hardwood. We'll see where that goes! ;)

Hey Shawn,

Welcome aboard!

Nice Charvels - the third one down on the right - do you have a better picture?

I seem to remember Warren deMartini of Ratt playing one just like it in my dim dark past.

Welcome.

I live in Brooksville, just north of you. Nice collection. I had a couple of Jackson Soloists in the mid 1980's and loved them. I had the one with the "stone" finish, and the one with the color change skull on it. Crazy graphics. Those things through my old mesa stack had a tone as big as a building :D

I used to swear by those guitars, but the last time I tried one . . . I'll just say I love my EBMM and will stick with them now.

Shawn,

Gorgeous collection, I too, am in love with that White DeMartini Charvel. I recently read that they just started re-issuing those guitars. How does it play?

I have the Black & Yellow EVH Charvel and it is incredible !!

I know what you mean Dave, my memory is a little fuzzy during the years of Ratt's popularity. I did happen to catch a Ratt video on VH1 Classics the other night (Way Cool Jr.....maybe?) Warren was definitely using that gorgeous guitar througout the semi-live footage.
