New to the forum - post on a few other guitar related forums on the web.

Been staring at Music Man guitars on the walls of guitar stores for a long time and have to admit had never tried one. Played a gold roller Silhouette - which may be one of the nicest playing guitars I've ever played but just didn't do it for me in the looks dept. To make a long story short got sucked in a Christmas and bought this beauty. I'm really loving this guitar and find something to like about it more and more every day. Gotta say top notch quality pieces and from I've read lurking around this board seems they have top notch customer service as well - which is huge in my book.

Anyway enough yapping a couple of pics.

Nice guitar. Pearl Red Burst? I like the threeby shots you have going, this photo and the profile pic. How does it compare to your other guitars?

Yes Pearl Redburst.

First a bit of a PC answer to your question. I'm not a gigging musician but like so many a woodshedder who has a pretty good day job and likes to treat himself with some nice toys now and then. I see my collection as tools - and I don't need 6 of the same 3/8" ratchet in my toolbox. Point being I have many wildly different guitars from the inexpensive Ibanez in the Picture to an old school hand made BC Rich. I like to have different looks and feels, different pick-ups etc. If I was ever to play live in a band it wouldn't be a great idea because no guitar I own has a back-up. I love all of my tools otherwise I would have never bought them! :)

That long winded answer being said - I think EBMM makes one of the nicest guitars on the market - especially for the price and would put this guitar along side any high end guitar some at double the price. It is a very quality piece and I bought it sight unseen and felt comfortable doing so after the couple that I had played in stores. It feels solid and substantial - the finish is gorgeous, deep and lusterous. The fretwork is perfect to my standards and the electronics seem very solid. The only guitar in my collection that I would put side by side with it in overall quality is my old school BC Rich which was made in the old California shop when Bernie Sr. was still around.

Great guitar - period!
