Finally decided to post here. Got a new 2008 model Sterling HS 5
string. I've always heard about Music Man basses and after hearing
Tony Levin with Peter Gabriel, I've been on the quest to get a MM
someday. Finally it was my first manufactured bass in years after building
a few Warmoths and 6 with John Carruthers parts. The playability is
awesome to say the least, same with the tone. The feel of the neck
is incredible and very comfortable for my small hands. The low B extension
is really good, rivaling my 35 inch scale 6.
My wish---a Sterling 6 string bass. I know, what about the Bongo 6. Too
out there for me. I like the traditional look. Plus I like the smaller Sterling
body style.
Ernie Ball FTW!
