Buy the AL HH with the coil split. You' ll have tele, strat, buckers sounds in one axe. Plus MM playability. Yet the Valentine is great too. I'd probably have bought one if I could bind with the bridge...

The splits on the AL HH won't get you single coils, just perhaps an approximation of the middle position on a tele, correct? I think the switching on that AL model is just like on my L3 HH. The Valentine is a different thing from that.

I hope it will still have hardtail, I don’t think it will have the same twang with tremolo.

Thread title is “valentine or not”....

The answer is definitely not “not”.

One of my favorite guitars, and my go-to. You won’t regret it.

I tell you. These newer EBMM models are outta control. The Valentine, Cutlass and Reflex are just ridiculously perfect modern instruments. Everything else I pick up just doesn't compare. There are other great guitar companies out there, but these guitars are unreal.

I agree. There is just soooo much here and they all have their own flavor. I have 7 and have not come close to scratching all my EBMM itches. I have zero desire for any other brand since I bought my first EBMM. I like lookin at some of the other makers guitars and finishes but they aren’t getting my money. lol

The only other brand that I was checking out was Xotic. A couple of the SSS models look pretty stellar, but about a hefty hike above a Cutlass, which I absolutely adore.
