Excellent price is about $ 700, seeking information and watch videos.
You have them tested? as you seem?

PS:
Thank you,
I have proud, even if the color of the body I have preferred something else but I girder used cheap

I haven't tried the Jet City line myself, but I've been really impressed with all of the demos I've heard and the photos I've seen of the inside look top notch.

When I first got my Silo Special I wished it wasn't red, but over the years the color has grown on me to the point that red is now my favorite color for guitars. If I had your Silver Silo I'd put a black pickguard on it, I think that would look very nice.

Hi,
do I need an amplifier compratre you what do you recommend for
hard rock/metal (Vai, Gilbert, Petrucci) from the following:
Laney LC30 or VC30
Blackstar HT20
Peavey Classic 30 or ValveKing
or else ...?

Many thanks I hope someone help me

For hard rock/metal, if you're going to play out, get a Marshall JVM. If just for home practice/studio stuff, get a Blackstar HT5.

Blackheart amps are certainly very good but I do love Laney amplifiers and I'll admit that bias straight away. I've used the old LC15R and now the newer LC15-110 for all my gigs for the last ten years. I have a Blackstar HT5 at work for testing guitars which has the same speaker as the LC15-110. That gives a very similar character to the sound but the Laney sounds better to my ears and I feel it is more versatile. But enough about the smaller amps, lets talk about your two options.

Laney's newer LC series amps (since 2008) are redesigned versions of the earlier amps - they sound better IMO and with their redesigned chassis they should be even more reliable and will be easier to repair if case something does go wrong. AFAIK, on the HT20 the tube sockets are mounted on the circuit board, rather than on the chassis which could lead to problems further down the line due to heat build up and flexing of the circuit board when changing tubes, which was an issue on the older LC series amps. That's not an issue on the LC30-112, which has chassis mounted tubes, which are also easier to get at when you need to.

The HT20 has speaker emulated output and headphone out, the LC30 does not but it doesn't interest me anyway. I would want independent 3 way EQ on both clean and dirt channels, which the LC30 has and the HT20 does not which is an immediate deal breaker for me. The Blackstar amps have the ISF feature, the Laneys have a bright switch and a 'modern' switch on the drive channel which gives a different basic voicing to the distortion. Personally, I'm not a fan on the ISF feature - I don't find it as intuitive as I'd like for dialing in the tone I want. I think the Laney is tonally very versatile and easy to use, so the Laney wins for me again. You'll just have to try them for yourself and see what you think.

The stock speakers are both by Celestion but different models, which will sound different. But the LC30's Seventy 80 is more 3dB more efficient than the HT20's Rocket 50 so if clean headroom is an issue the speaker and extra power from the Laney will be the winner.

So, overall, the Laney wins for me on the basis of past experience, build quality, and features that I like.

You are confused.
He said Blackstar not Blackheart.

Texas Finally!
I have a Jet City and for the price pretty good amp and yes the build quality is very good for this amp, down side ,single channel, no effects loop.

up side again good quality build, very nice tones, can get loud if need be, price is very good, I have the head and just bought the matching cab having the matching cab made alot of difference in how well it sounded.

you can play rock blues etc. with it. i know Beej bought one and is having a mod done to it to make it well lets say more marshall like, waiting to hear what he thinks also I did replace the stock tubes while they were OK i put in some Groove Tubes and that made alot of difference as well.

Anyways amps are such a personal thing and your going to get a lot of opinions good and bad, what one person likes the next dislike etc.

N.19, the LC30 does have spring reverb. If it's like the LC15 it's not an Accutronics unit (the Laney website is in error if it's still showing) and truth be told, the reverb is the weak point of the amp - it sounds quite muddy and I don't find it very useful. Of course, I don't use reverb much so it doesn't bother me but getting a replacement Accutronics unit is often cheaper than buying a good reverb pedal.

Changing the speaker will change the whole sound of the amp. You may like, it, you might not, and that goes for the Blackstar too!

Azazel, well spotted, I did of course mean Blackstar. Consider the error edited.

You and I need to hang out. We have like the exact same taste in gear. We even have the same color Charvels if your sig color code is accurate (candy green?)

Sorry, dude, it's black. But who cares bout colors, it plays like a wet dream, its a Charvel!

Thanks to everyone for the advice
I'm going to try some of these amps that you have recommended and see live how they behave
the reverb could use that GMajor, not is a big problem.
the JVM is great but too expensive as well as.
For information the legacy here is $1400  is not right!!!

Thanks to all you are great!

The Jet City with the Dave Friedman mod is supposed to be killer.

You could also go with a used Peavey 6505. I really like Custom Audio Amps but they are definitely more pricey.
