Hey, guys. My EBMM Petrucci's mix control for the piezo is messed up. This control allows you to mix the volumes of the piezo pickups and the regular magnetic pickups, it's a screw I guess attached to a pot and wired up... I think.

Well, the screw was stripped when I bought the guitar and for some reason the MIX isn't working now. And, even worse, it's stuck at a setting where the piezo is much louder.... I'm not totally sure, but I think it's lowering the output of the magnetics also, which I don't like....

Anyways, I don't know what exactly is wrong, but I need to get it fixed. Who should I take this to? Do you think a tech at a guitar center/samash/etc. could do it? or should it be taken to someone more involved with electronics?

By the way, the Bass and Treble EQ controls work fine, and so does the piezo itself. It's just the Mix control that needs to be fixed...

Any ideas?

Ok ( and this is one whole bottle of wine talking!!)
The Piezo preamp comes as you say with mixing screws- I think that a mixing screw is highly unlikely to strip it's thread.

If ya bought the EB new then take it up with your guitar supplier.
If you purchased it second hand ( out of warranty) then if the the thread is stripped, a new unit will have to be purchased from EB - you will prolly have to send ya old one back to get a new one.

So
1) Approach guitar dealer
2) Customer service to see what service thet can provide.

What exactly would I need though? A whole new piezo preamp? :[ The guitar was bought used...

Also, I forgot to mention that this is when trying to run them together
through the mono output, so that I could mix the piezo with the
magnetics for cleans, but the mix is so far off that they wll not mix at
all. I can't get any piezo signal from the magnetic/both together in
mono Output, but if I plug into the Piezo Output the Piezo works fine.
It is also currently much louder than the magnetics from the other
Output, which is leading me to believe that the mix is just so far off
that that's why I'm not hearing any Piezo in the Output meant for them
to be mixed in mono....

It used to be adjustable, but now it's not working. (I've had it a
while...)

I hope this won't be expensive to fix...
