I am deciding color and pickguard on Silhouette Special. There are so many beautiful colors of this guitar, and also so many beatiful pickguard pattern/color.

Which color on guitar and which pickguard would you get?????

It would depend on the what you are going for.
Vintage White Guitar with white perloid or Vintage Sunburst with Tortoise Shell

Modern Carbon Blue Pear with Abalone or Blue Dawn with Black Ice guard.

The only trans color for the Sil Spec is the vintage sunburst.

As for the available colors, since you asked, I go first with Blue Pearl and second with Carbon Blue Pearl (the first is a little brighter) and put abalone on either. But thats my taste.

As for the 2007 BD upcharge, I believe the msrp is $500. based on the finish, additional labor, inlays, case, etc.

EDIT

graphite pearl with moonstone would also look sweet

Pacific Blueburst would be awsome, but it's not available on the Silo Special. White on white is always cool.

Blue Dawn is cool but the pickguard will hide most of the burst.

I like red guitars, I would go for radiance red with moonstone guard.

i would go transparent too on a silo, if it were offered, sunburst is ok, but honeyburst would be great! Lava pearl looks awesome too on a silo, with Moonstone pickguard. Desert Gold with shell too.

Maybe if enough people want the Honeyburst option for Silo And Silo Special they can offer it again, because I know at one point in time they use to offer it. It is worth a shot I know I would order one.

Wow, Norm !
Looks NICE!
EMG's look a little odd on a Silo (Especially upside down ?!?), but that's a NICE axe.
What EMG's are they ?

Songman,

There's been a fair few mentions of white on white, so here's my Silo
Plain compared to NorM's, but a different kind o'nice !

NorM are those EMGs the turned around?

The bridge is an emg 89 (Split coil) In single coil mode the active coil is under the logo. I wanted it a little further away from the bridge so I turned it around. According to emg it doesn't matter which way you orient the other pups.

Where'd you fit the battery NorM ?
Is it just wired through and mounted in the Trem Cavity (easier to access ?) or under the pickguard ?
