I agree, the Bongo seems to look the best to me in brighter, louder colors. I guess thats why all the variations of orange and gold are so popular. I would love to see a cream color come available again at some point as the 2005 Buttercream Bongos look fantastic.

I thought for sure I was going to go for Olive Gold but I am starting to think thet True Gold is going to be the winner. Still not sure if Torte or Vintage White Pearl would suit that color best.

Out of the three I would pick True Gold with White Pearl pickguard. I am weird in that I don't like the tort guard on anything other than white or natural.

Very nice choice - IMO, you couldn't go wrong with any of your options.
Now it begins...
.... at least you have those photos to keep you company!
Congratulations

Thanks. Any idea how long it usually takes?
It depends - in the current economy, I wouldn't be shocked if there are instruments in need of a home but you need a lefty so that will probably be a few months.

Olive gold is incredible when the sunshine hits it, sparkley like an old school 70's dune buggy!
I'm a sucker for the Desert Gold, but I've never seen firemist in person,

if it's one of their new candy-apple/sparkle colors, like True Gold and Olive-Gold..
then it probably rocks..

I called EB customer service yesterday just to make sure that my order was received and everything is correct. My wife thought I was being paranoid but I wanted to be sure that the retailer ordered the bass as specified. i would hate to have it arrive and be right handed or some crazy thing.

Customer service was fantastic as usual. They confirmed every aspect of my order and advised me that i should have my bass in approximately 2 months!!! Thats fantastic! i was thinking it would be a lot longer. Now I am really droolin! can't wait to be a Bongoloid!
