I was not as impressed with Tangerine pearl in person as I was in the pics. This coming from a guy that painted a room in his house orange. Its a tad too neon & I like loud. Sky blue would be my choice. I'd try to seem in in the flesh if you can, its not that easy OR ask Freddels for tons of pics!

I had the opposite reaction. I like TP better in person than in pics.

I'm a big fan of Trans Orange and in fact briefly owned a Big Al guitar in that color. The photos of Tangerine Pearl made it seem TOO pearly... too "gray" if you know what I mean. I really wanted a good, solid orange.

In person, that's the way it comes across. I still vote orange.

Man, that HH at TPB is too nice. And 9.4 Lbs is great for a 5er. I'd go with that one, then get yourself a clear PG and make up any color combo you want with a sheet of paper.

Unfortunately im in the UK, and there is apparently ONE Bongo 5 in the pickup config I want in stock with the supplier, (wrong colour and not the new tuners). Us Brits are far too conservative sometimes, hence they don't stock that many.

I'd love to be in the US for gear.

Whatever I order, Im guessing its 5 months ish wait. This is fine, as Im patient anyway. But, it would be nice to be able to just 'get one' within a few days.

Ok, the plunge has been taken.

A brand new fresh Tangerine Pearl 5 HH Bongo with Black Plate has been ordered.

I knew eventually I would have one, and the new tuners was just the little extra I needed to say 'oh go one then' :p

Soundslive in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK, have dealt with my order and the service/price is great...really good!

Might be a LONG wait, but not to worry. I'm guessing November time.

FYI, I am seriously considering a (Sterling Silver or Candy Red) Bongo 4HS and did some research today - the quote on time was indeed November, if I ordered in the next week.
