This is my first post here so hello everyone!

I decided to buy a new guitar, I'm almost decided on an EBMM but I'm quite tied between Axis SS and Morse Y2D. I'm looking strictly for a hardtail, and a guitar for hard rock/prog so these two seem the best. I played both in my local guitar store (I live in Poland and we forunately have quite decent EBMM dealer here, I mean there are always available in decent variety - the prices are outrageous though - about $2800 for an ASS and Y2D is just over $3000 - taxes, shippping, even if the dollar exchange rate hasn't been lower for years).

Well - the problem is that I like the feel of ASS better - it's lighter, has more comfortable neck etc. but I like the sound of Y2D better - I noticed it has more sustain, can be really heavy, can be very jazzy-mellow and has a single coil. And I'm quite stuck with the final decision. Can anyone help me out? :)

BTW. they also had an ASS Rosewood - I liked a regular ASS more (brighter sounding). Plus the ASS RW reminds me of an old piece of furniture ;). I played all three guitars through an ENGL Savage 120 - it has to be the best sounding amp ever.

Welcome!
You can't go wrong with any choice you make. All the Music Man guitars are awesome!
Pick one as your first EBMM, then the other one will automatically become your second guitar! ;):D

I think you should get both, and throw an AL in while you're at it.

Remember...it's better to have and not want, than to want and not have...

Texas Finally!
Any EBMM is great, go with what suits you best and you like the best, but i would say go for the ASS, while the Morse is a great guitar and is the sig model of one of the greatest guitarists, it was not my cup of tea, but I loved the ASS, and cant wait until mine arrives:)

You could block the trem on a JP or Silhouette ;)

That might open up your options a little more, since both of those would be great for progressive music. No matter what you are getting a killer guitar though :D

Which is the harder choice, picking the right guitar? or picking the color of the right guitar? ; )

So many options.....
