I recently picked up the Epiphone Blues Custom 30 ($550) and the little Valve Jr. ($150) I'm certain they can't compare to the amps listed thus far, but for the buck I think they sound great. If it's in your budget, there are mod kits and/or tube upgrades that will help them shine a bit more.

Here's a link to what a modified $550 Valve Jr sound like. Click the Green Play Music... link.

How do you find the Atomic Rig? I have been using Line 6 amps for a long while and been happy with the sound. The Atomic seems like a great idea, but I have never seen one in the flesh.

Tim, I think they may have gone under. I looked around a few months ago and couldn't find anything recent. I was going to pick one up for my PodXT, I still have one hanging around in my room and I'll jam through it occasionally. It seemed like a great idea.

It's good, especially with the XT. I'm currently using it with a 2.0, but I think it needs XT or X3 to really bloom out. When I borrowed an XT from a friend I downloaded some customized Atomic patches that sounded awesome! But of course, it doesn't compare to the real deal...
