Help me keep my Ball in tune

I have a new silo as most of you know. And its great! But every time I use the trem it goes out of tune!!! Im not going "Vai" with it, although I do like to do the flutters and dives and screaming harmonics. What Ive done so far is measure out each side of the bridge and make sure that each post is the same height. the trem is NOT flush, its floating.

Any ideas?

Hey Pro,

No need to fret out!! It just needs to be set up correctly and it'll stay in tune perfectly.

If it's new, (not just to you) you can get help from your dealer, a competent guitar playing friend, or call customer service for assistance in set up.

I have my bridge floating on my Silo Special and the 20th Silo as well. Most of the time the G string gets a bit out of tune...my solution is to lube the nut (hehe) with graphite. Also the intonation should be set up properly. Stretching new strings is also important and you have to re-tune several times in order for the tuning to become stable...but thats with all guitars of course. Also you can try re-stringing the guitar...that helped a few times.

Might sound wierd.. but it took me about a couple of re-strings and a week or so of bends and bar abuse to break it all in nicely... Now it is sweeeet. Can get all 'luke live on falling in between' and it stays in no dramas

yeah, like "DrGonzo5150" said... tube the nut, its prob creating allot of friction, and friction causes tuning problems, had that problem before.

Yup, lube yer nut.

Make sure you're using the locking tuners properly too.

Use as FEW winds around the post as possible - 1 wind is more than enough

(i.e, pull tight, lock, tune, snip)

I use the Big Bends Nut Sauce. I stretch the heck out of the strings after I put them on. I pull the strings as tight as possible before I lock the tuner. Im sure the posts are both set at the same height. So I guess thats just how its going to be. huh
