Howdy people! Could any of you help me out with this little piece of music? I don't know how to read music, but I would really like to learn this tune. Thank you.
Time to start learning how I think! Where does this come from? Nice chord changes.
Maybe somebody will write the tablature for you but that won't tell you much about timing (i.e. when to play the notes). And if you have a recording of it, could you learn it by ear and not need anybody to write out the tablature for you? I'm not really sure what you want or what anybody can do for you. :scratches head:
Hehe yes it's about time for sure! It's a chord progression from a song I got from a friend. I think it's based on a jazz/blues standard. I don't have any recordings of it, so I was hoping that there were some great readers here on the forum. Who might could record them self play the melody.
I would need like 2 straight weeks to figure this out
Well, I look at the chord progression and it all makes sense to me: starts in the key of F Major, with lots of "secondary dominant chords" (look that up on wikipedia) introducing temporary key changes. The minus signs are minor chords, the triangles are Major 7 chords, the chord at the beginning of bar 2 is E half diminished (Em7b5). But it would take me a while to write something that you could work with, and even that has a lot of room for personal preference (because each chord could be played in a few different positions) and frankly, I have enough on my plate as it is, between moderating and jobs and guitar lessons, and studio work, so I'm not gonna spend the time! Sorry! Maybe somebody else will? But at least I hope that what I've already told you in this post will give you enough that with a decent chord dictionary you can sit down and figure out something that is a) correct and b) that your ears like.
