I've had luck with the classic rock / blues side with the axis super sport. Currently enjoying it with my 20th Anniversary Silhouette.

This one might be a tad bit biased towards the Morse. From the EBMM line, I have a JPX and Steve Morse Standard. Off all the guitars (even from other makers) I have played so far I find the EBMM Steve Morse to be my personal favorite (key word here is personal so your mileage may vary).

It is one amazing, fine and a very versatile instrument. Unplugged, when you play on the Morse, it sounds beautiful acoustically and quite audible. The entire guitar literally vibtrates from your finger making contact with the string and you feel the note resonate throughout the body of the guitar.

When plugged in with the 4 pickups and the 11 different combinations you can get there's plenty of tonal variety. I absolutely love the cleans that I get when I add the slanted single coil pickup to the others. Add the humbucker to fatten up the tone slightly, you are pretty much in tone utopia.

Cobalt Strings + Morse = WIN!

Can't really help regarding which Ball as I only own one  Suffice to say I come from a long line of other guitars and staggered into a Reflex due to an offer too good to refuse. All other guitars now sold and the Reflex after three months has still not been back in its case. It is honestly the only guitar I have ever owned that has completely cured my GAS.

I suspect you can't go wrong with any Musicman Guitar but if you get a chance try them all.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I'm going to start trying out different models and I'll report back what I think. Definitely have quite a few to try haha
