Hi Chris and welcome to the forum - and another Albert Lee owner too!

I've no doubt that somebody from EB will be able to answer your query on Monday as they are probably all home for the weekend.

We'd love to see some pics of your Albert.

I'd be happy to date your AL. How does a week in Arizona sound?

You may not get answer answer until Monday when they return to work. But maybe sooner.

Or just post it on the thread that is pinned to the top that starts of with "IMPORTANT...". Then on Tuesday you won't have to try to sift through all the posts to find this one.

It's the sunburst AL that was on ebay US recently - I took the neck off last night and the body is dated June 22nd 1998 so mystery solved...

Plays and sounds great. With shipping and import duty i payed £500, which is pretty good for the UK (IMHO!)... it's been modded for a humbucker at the bridge - the routing work on the body has been done well - its really neat so i can't understand why he's put the bloody pickup in at such an odd angle...

which leads me to my next question - is there anywhere i can get a new AL pickguard thats HSS ready?

cheers for your replies

First, if you want to show us better pics, you can just upload pics to something like photobucket, and have them hosted from there. Then, you can just paste the URL with the http://www.photobucket.com/your-gallery/your-image.jpg[\IMG]

The AL doesn't normally come in HSS, as you may know. I know of only one other AL with that configuration. That instrument was custom-made for a former EBMM employee. So, it may be that you will have to have a pickguard made. These people may be able to help.

Last, but not least, your AL looks like it's a gorgeous guitar. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that it would be wonderful to see some higher resolution pics. Good luck on your pickguard hunt.

Welcom John.

This is a really old thread. You might want to post in the 'sticky' thread at the top of the forum. Customer Service typically responds to that thread surpsingly fast. (During normal business hours of course.)
