Help needed- never seen one of these before

Hi there

Brand new to the forum, so very pleased to meet you all.

I have recently bought a white MM Stingray (dated from 1999) with a maple neck.

I've not taken delivery of it yet, so don't have serial numbers etc, but the bass comes with gold MM hardware (all properly stamped and official).

I've not seen a Stingray with gold hardware before and wondere dif this was usual?

I don't believe your Bass would have left the factory with the gold hardware (although there are Limited Edition Black with Gold hardware Basses recently released).

I've seen a few after-market gold platings. There's a place somewhere in Florida that does them.

Anyhow, White with Gold is a nice combo. Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to the Forum
