help needed with guitar fx

anyone know any good sites i could get information on best way to set up an fx pattern?. As in what fx to put through fx loop and what not?Have only recently starting playing around with fx and im just really lost when it comes to this sort of stuff

Hi Adam, I think one of the recent guitar magazines ran a special on effects and placement etc. I'm not 100% sure which one it was, but I think it was a US based mag.

Personally, I run all of mine straight into the front of the amp, as I haven't got an fx loop, and I run them as follows:

Guitar > Compressor > Wah > High Gain distortions > Low gain distortion/drive > Modulation (univibe/phaser/chorus/tremolo) > EBMM Volume Pedal > Delay > Amp.

If your amp has an fx loop, you might want to look at putting the modulation and time-based fx through that.

Experimentation is the key really, as what works for me, may not work for you
