I was ordering an sr5hh with matching headstock and abalone pickguard and musiciansfriend deny my order after tons of other orders going thru. they said ernieball does not allow them to ship to poboxes for things that will go outside the us.IS THIS TRUE... if so anyone how i can get an order shipped directly to me to DR...

it is true.

its in the US Ernie Ball Music Man dealers' agreements to sell to US customers only. so, a US dealer (musiciansfriend, guitar center or the private local guys) are not allowed to sell NEW gear to non-US customers. USED gear is OK to sell internationally

there's a list of international distibutors available at:
http://www.ernieball.com/international-dealers/

you can also ping Music Man's international customer servicee staff if you have specific questions etc. Their emails are available at: http://www.ernieball.com/contact/ ... (i also included them below)

Good luck on your deal ...
Here in Vancouver, we're only a 3 hr drive from an American MM dealer;
A buddy of mine was there a couple of weeks ago and says they're reasonable people; it seems we can purchase USED MM basses that are almost brand new, so long as we can arrange an American 'friend' to be the first time buyer of the NEW unit, and so long as we don't mind not having a valid MM warranty on a nearly new USED bass; same for other brands that are a pain in the butt to get here in Canada; what the heck, it's only money if you can get exactly what you want with no hassles other than crossing the border and drinking watered down beer while you're there :cool:
