Took a while to load on my cable connection, but I'm not sure if that's an issue with the site or just a server overload from everyone here rushing over to take a look.

Looks great. Really love the process part and seeing all of the steps.

Edit: Just noticed in scrolling over the body colors swatches, looks like translucent blue and PBB are mixed up ... that is one of the nicest trans blues I've ever seen, though.

It looks cool but it took a while to get it. I like the pics in the history although I prefer your stories :D I never got the instruments page up, the ADD kicked in and I went to the media page which is also cool . I think it's going well, no big issues. Thanks for the peek.

Hey BP - Glad for the preview opportunity!

Seems the site went down during my review!

I like the look - bright, simple interface - sensible menu. My initial observations, speaking strictly on functionality relate to the main links - they seemed to work (ie. they took you to the intended page) from some pages while they did not work from others.

Also, there were many images - pictures of artists for example - that appear as links (cursor changes to a hand) but don't link to anything (ie. chicking them does nothing).

Dealer locator link took me back to the current Music Man site.

I'll give it another look later...

1. On the BFR blog page:

The Ball Family is the last of a dying breed, a family business making guitars and basses exclusively in the United States. Ball Family Reserve is a celebration of our heritage in instrument craftsmanship which feature some of the finest figured tone woods and

should be 'features', as the subject is singular, no?

2. Several of the navbar links dead-end (404 Not Found), but I figure those pages just aren't up yet, or are under maintenance.

3. March 2008 news archive:

This image is 690px. Its an amazing guitar

should be 'it's'

I know its a small point but I figured id mention it:

On the artists page under 'phoenix' it says "stingray stingray bass"

and under tony levin "bongo stingray stingray"

not sure what the point of the repetition is, maybe there is one?

looks great, huge improvement. It will be great to finally have an updated official MusicMan website supporting your full product line. Been a long time coming.

Looks really pro BP i like it, but as other people said, it's VERY slow loading.

And don't take it as a criticism as such, but i'll miss the instrument builder, i thought that was a good idea.

Some images took awhile to load as others mentioned. This could be traffic or just the images need a bit of compressing. Once downloaded the first time of course they are cached and instant. The design is clean and usable.

This is what I experienced, as well. Overall, though, I really do like the layout. Also, being able to hover the mouse over the different finishes and getting a nice, sharp image was a great touch!

Very cool.

I like the layout Poppa. Clean and simple. I love flash sites that are minimal (that's the architecture student in me). I did notice a typo during the "HISTORY" slideshow, on the Dave LaRue / Sterling bass slide, Introduced is spelled Intoduced.

I found the "PROCESS" page very interesting. It gives a great appreciation for the instruments - you get to see their birthing process and also the amount of work and attention to goes into each bass / guitar. I really enjoyed the shot of the CAD software with the Sterling5 headstock...really cool.

BP - are the process photos in house or did you hire photographers? I really appreciate the composition (angles and abstract quality) and depth of field, very nice work.

Again, I really like the layout. Can't wait to see it live and with faster load times.
