I love it. I like the nice, clean layout and it's easy to find things.

People will bitch about the instrument builder, of course, because that's what we do.

But the general look is excellent. Once it moves to the main server and picks up some speed, it will be easier to see what really works versus what doesn't, but the style and appearance is righteous.

Ben Alsup on the artist page made my little heart go pitter-patter.

Jack pretty much said exactly what I was going to say. Way to go Ben!

It is looking great. I also really like the Artist vids. They are a great touch. They really personalise the Musicman Brand. Keep up the good work.

Looks great and a huge improvement from the existing EBMM site IMO.

My only comment would be to show the specific instrument in the actual color rather than using a generic image.

For instance, when looking at the new Sterling 5 in Rolls Burgundy, a StingRay appeared showing the color rather than Rolls Burgundy shown on a Sterling 5. this was also the case when looking at many of the other models.

I know this is a beta site and more work will be done. I hope this could be a fix.

Thx

I think it looks great.

Have you ever thought about an instrument set up/maintenance tutorial?
(Great, more work for BP & Co!)

Something simple.

"Quick truss rod adjustment"
"Bridge and pick up height adjustment"
"How to care for you EBMM neck"
(Set things to factory specs as a starting point, and adjust to taste).

Yes we can read the FAQ but IMO actually showing the EBMM repair tech doing each user friendly "tweak" would again, bring the product closer to the user.

You can end each clip with a disclaimer "If at any point you are not comfortable with making adjustments on your instrument, we suggest you contact your local repair shop".

Why do people watch Home Improvement and cooking shows? They're showing you that in most instances, "You can do some of these things yourself, and here's how....."

(Take a look at some of the shorter Apple product ones, they've helped me and I've appreciated it).

Just food for thought.

I agree that it looks great and the only cool thing would be on the color selector - as mentioned already - it would be cool if when you scroll over the color, the actual model you're looking at would be displayed.

I was waiting to see the new Sterling5 on the old website and didn't realize there was a whole new site in the works - very nice!!!

Very nice - I like the fact that it has a clean, sleek look to it. Some small bumps (mostly mentioned above), but I figure that this is a work in progress and the kinks will get worked out along the way. Thanks for the peek BP!

Damn, my Bongo 5 was gonna be my final Bass investment and then you had to put the Bongo 6 and the Sterling 5 on your website.
Oh well, I'll have to get that Dialysis machine next year! :)

It's very good - I'll miss the instrument builder, but I still have an Etch-A-Sketch so I can use that to amuse myself instead.

- The mobile code takes a little while to download. Not a show stopper, but I know web designers fret (pun intended) over how long someone will wait for a page to load before giving up and going to a competitor's site. I'm in Africa - and it didn't take "that long." Once loaded of course you have the mouse-over which is great.
- Please add in a navigation bar (top or bottom of the page) - so the viewer can always get back to where they were. Browser 'back' buttons dont' always work - a viewer might (a) see the instruments (b) surf aimlessly around through the process tabs or whatever, then get serious and (c) want to dowload the specs/availability (colors/p/ups) then (d) want to find a dealer.
- Downloadable options, specs, etc. in PDF format are always helpful, particularly to us bandwith-challenged folks. Essentially allows me to surf when they're no bandwidth, and is certainly cheaper than distributing expensive glossy printed color catalogues.

Thanks for sharing boss.
