Against all of the collective better judgement of the entire team and most of the western hemishpere I am letting you in on the final beta of the new web site......

Here is what I ask.....Proof it for copy and funtionality. ANy critiques will be deleted...

I know the instrument builder is gone...had to go...I know that some of the history is off and i know in the process section it doesnt go exactly where you want to go until you click on the next pic....

THis is me taking you inside as a guest....I will be really a jerk if proper manners arent displayed.

If you like it great....if you dont it still is better than what we had....If it gets ugly we will pasword protect it until the live launce...

Get it? Now enjoy

I love the clean interface. When it's 100% it will be very user friendly.
I'm guessing it's un a temp server right now. It's quite slow.

I noticed that when I go to a new page and return... I can't?

BP I think this is great! It looks really nice and tidy and really clear.
This is a huge improvement from the older website!
Personally I think a website is pretty important, it's basically the first impression you get of something. Some stores here in the Netherlands have pretty good websites and some of them are just plain awful. I think the stores with the good websites give out a more professional message and they kinda invite people to visit their store.

Great work as always!!

After a little wait and really letting things load...... I LOVE IT!!! I can't wait to see more of it.

BP this is not a jab question, maybe I just missed the news way back when. The Benji is not here. Is it a done deal???

I don't want to post too much in this thread, so just to make sure we're doing what you ask, if we see a mistake you'd like us to tell you!? correct?

The colour sampler: where it says Black, the picture looks like it's Sapphire Black.
where it says Sapphire Black, the picture is Blackburst.

Other than that so far, the site is awesome!!!! Great job!!!!

Thanks BP, thanks alot. This is what makes this forum special.

The website is beautiful. I will need a bigger monitor than my 17" to watch this big beautiful pictures. The guitar pics are great, especially in "The Process"

I´m sure the speed will be improved when it´s proper in use

Hi BP,

I like the new site... very clean and easy.

As far as proofing is concerned...

1. I noticed that in the artist section, John Fogerty is listed as using a Silo Spec but his pic shows him with an ASS. It also looks like Joe Perry is using the Silo bass but is listed as using a Silo... small thing really.

2. On the Silo Spec page there is some copy on the bottom of the page about the AL.

3. Also noted that in the body color thing, Sapphire black is accompanied by a pic of a Walnut Burst JP BFR, Pearl Redburst is accompanied by a Rubyburst BFR JP.

I hope this is what you're looking for. Again, I like the new site.

BP,

The only thing I am getting is 404 error when I click on the instrument page. I'm guessing that is because of the server? If not...well there you go! seems to be working fine for the others though: maybe my computer is broken

I would like to comment and just say that it looks really fresh and clean. I will really enjoy the "The Process" page, and possibly a new updated color chart (if its there, it isn't loading for me.

Great job as always EB

Some proof reading items in the individual instruments product overviews (I looked at three AL, Axis, ASS)

Neck Attachment is spelled Neck Attachement

Electronic Shielding is spelled Sheilding

Wooooowwwwwwwwwwwweeee!!!!!!!

Poppa,

Firstly a huge thank you, to trust us with something like this is pretty amazing!, I do a lot of beta testing as part of my job - (IT Manager with Fujitsu) we have a process that's been burned into my mind over the last decade and I now seem to use it even when we go out to dinner! - Yes I am becoming that boring!

Here's my initial findings (as requested) please don't take my comments the wrong way they're written 'as I find them' in note fashion, and it's only a quick sweep of the site, I don't mean any disrespect in anything I type it's purely as the thoughts enter my head, if you need me to clarify anything please get in touch. And I know I'm rich quoting grammar and typing when mine isn't checked before posting!!!

Apart from what I've picked up as questions if nothing else - site looks amazing, fresh, clear, sensible pretty easy interface.... great.

The main menu
- doesn't let you open up multiple windows, so when you're waiting for 'Instruments to load' you can't go other places(Flash based, if the menu was seperate it
would allow the user to go off somewhere else.

'The process' - seems to be lag in the image fade when going between the browser windows at the bottom- is this by design?
some of the 'the process logos on the images thumbnails over hang and if the final page is white or black there will be bleed but from what I can see
only on the thumbnails.

Grammar - is basecoating all one word? and they have stingray as sting ray - and from my limited knowledge the picture is a Luke.

History page StingRay is reported where on other links it's stingray

bfr blog - my grammar checker thinks that it should read int he BFR text features not feature. but I can see how it would read well in both

The error 404 I got on the news page - the "Please inform the administrator" doesn't have a capital P

Artists page - John Fogerty silhouette Special - he's playing an Axis, again just an observation.

Dealer locator points back to old site, on the assumtion new site has a unifrom of colour old site will look different

Media - you tube link on the see more at the EB you tube - just points to you tube rather than the EB page.

Contact - the mailto: command when clicking on the email address opens up a second window in additiona to opening the email window - tried it on 2 machines, seems to be at the site end.

Thanks again for offering us this unique oppertunity - reason No. 53 in 100001 reasons to be a knucklehead

Smelly.
