Help (pretty please) problem with my new JP

Any suggestions - I just received my first EB guitar, a JP6 with Pizzo BUT, when I use two cables (one in mag and one in Pizzo) running to two amps the amp attached to the mag input HUMs really loud, it goes away the second I disconnect the pizzo - am I doing something wrong or do I have a problem (I have tried several amps - same problem) - oh yeh the mag amp is fine on its own and the pizzo amp if fine on its own - the problem is just when both are plugged in!!

Any advise would be really appreciated

have you tried plugging the amps into seperate sockets? you may need a di with a ground switch?

The problem is likely with potential ground differences. As Colin said, this can usually be remedied by using a DI box with a ground lift on one of your signal paths (I use it on the piezo path).

Also you could try plugging both amps (magnetic output amp and piezo output amp) into the same outlet (and therefore the same ground) and see if that eliminates the buzz.

My friend has one. Works pretty good, reportedly. I'm going to have to find mine for when I have a piezo-equipped EBMM guitar.

Thanks to all who gave advice - I will get a DI as soon as the shops open on moday - thanks again.

Be sure to get a DI box with a ground lift switch. Not all of them have it, but most do.
