At one point, I had a SR5 and a HH Bongo 5.

Now I have no Bongos and 5 StingRay 5s.

Yeah....

Yeah, but Stanky you are a sick man. One day you will see the error of your ways!

Seriously, get what you like. EBMM is a great company and they make an awesome bass. Decide which one fits your needs better and pull the trigger (you won't be sorry either way)

The easy way to know is ask yourself. " which one rows my boat?"

I play Bongo now days. My SR5 isn't going any where either until I die.

BP is a guy that will fool ya. And a wife stealer. :D

I have both & if I had to keep only one, my Stealth Bongo 5HH would stay with me without hesitation. At least through my rig, every note on my Bongo cuts through....sometimes the Ray is a little iffy in that category.

thanks guys its been fun talking with you, and i will buy an ernie ball bass, more likely a stingray 5 HH, i have tried alot out at the stores here in vegas, and its keep coming back to musicman, i just love their tone, and i have to buy one soon because, my 13 year old washburn bass is going bad, the neck is not as strait and does not adjust as easy as she used to and the pickups and preamp are going bad and are a wasburn made custom size that no one makes , so i would have to have the wood routed out etc...., and i don't like their customer service and they don't have a bass that has a growl like a stingray, or any musicman for that matter, in fact i have in the last month tried at least 15 different brands of basses, and nothing has the tone or the feel of a good ol' american made Ernie ball, they just sound warm and smooth, everything else is either good for slap or else good for rock/ pop, but never both, the musicman basses are the only ones i feel get all needed tones, and can be used in any style of music, that's why i like them.:):):)
