Negative!

I play bass over amp/box set and through DI output take signal to the main mixing console and also using bass signal over complete PA system, whole band too!
Drums are wired with Shure Drum mic set, guitar player uses mic in front of his amp speaker, keyboard players are plugged direct to mix-console ...etc. ;)

Edit: So, yes, I do use PA support for my bass parallel with my personal amp/box set!
Overall volume and PA setup depends of the hall where we playing!

Ahh...ok makes sense...sorry for misreading.

Check out the MArkbass combos. The extra headroom will future proof your rig if you start playing with a band . You can always add an extension cab . Until then , enjoy having nice clean power for your MM bass.

He doesn't have an amp yet, he's looking to get an amp, but doesn't wanna drop the coin on a Mark Bass, because he can't afford it.

You guys have any other bass amp choices, that are a bit more reasonable?

Yeah...buy used...seriously. Look for some good deals on used gear.

Go for a split separate amp/box system and invest more money in to the bass box cabinet, and less in to the amp head.
I mean, if You're short with money, right?
Watch for impedance of amp output and speaker cab input to be equal if it's possible.

Did You consider something from EBS (Handcrafted in Sweden)?
Excellent bass gear with affordable prices (at least in Europe)!

P.S. ...I use such a combination, not expensive but good Behringer bass amp head and EBS professional bass box (middle price range).
Whole combination works just fantastic, but not to expensive!
Of course my Sterling is also fantastic bass too! :D

Ashdown, SWR, Hartke and Ampeg have some affordable combos. You could always walk the wasteland as a minstrel, collecting cans and various metal objects to recycle for cash. Before ya know it, you have enough for an Eden, Mark, Phil Jones or H & K.
