i have been collecting some stuff to start a project guitar. it will contain all ebmm parts and necks the only off's will be the bass pickups and the body. i need to buy a siilhouttte bass for the neck but dont know what the difference between the 6 string and tuned a to a is. i know this is the guitar part but this is where i always am so figured i would just post here. thanks

From what the kind folks at EB have told me, the 580 A-a and 590 E-e Silhouette basses are the same except for setups, and possibly the tuners. I don't know if there is a different compensated nut for each neck or not.

another interesting little note the bass side is a hollow body attached to a normal one. kinda kewl. if this is incorrect then evh lied and the tapping on the guitar lied.

Cool clip, and a cool project! I think that's the first time I've ever seen or heard of that guitar.

Good luck with your project - please post pics and details as it progresses!

i will but its gonna be a long project. i out of respect for ebmm and for the guitars i love to play want to keep this as much ebmm parts as i can. that is gonna take some time. the body will be the hardest to do but everything else minus the bass pickups will be stock ebmm. right down to all toggle and volume pots.
