Help with buying Silo spec on evilbay

Hi guys,

I'm one second from hitting the red botton on this one:
eBay: Ernie Ball MusicMan Silhouette HSS - Mint - OHSC (item 230142032213 end time Jun-18-07 09:37:38 PDT)

But for some reason the only accept payment by wire transfer of funds only when selling internationally - and I'm from Denmark Europe.

I guess this is not as safe as paypal?

Any comments are welcome as I would really like to give this baby a nice home

well wire transfer isnt as safe as paypal, so you are taking that risk for sure, doubly so when its an international transaction. Maybe you could offer to pay the paypal fees if that is the reason he isnt offering paypal as a payment option.

Hi Guys,

Paypal protects no-one in any shape or form. I recieved a neck some time ago that was a fake. I thought I had full protection, but I didn't. Thier response was that they only deal in delivery and not condition. The seller didnt even bother to respond to the paypal claim. As soon as I escalated it, paypal just closed stating they do not get ionvolved whn it comes to condition of an item.

In short, don't use paypal as a fallback, it is convenient but in no way any protection. I still use paypal all the time for convenience but wont ever fool myself into thinking they will ever be of any help in a claim.

Based on the information given on the listing and the sellers feedback, I certainly wouldnt have a problem dealing with the guy you have shown. His only negative is nothing to worry about. The guitar is awsome btw!!! For in international, that price is incredible too!! Ya lucky I am not in the market for a Silo, it would be gone now

Btw, the reason he wont accept international paypal is that he obviously feels that International shipping is unreliable and doesnt want to take the risk of having to give you your money back whilst waiting to get his money from any claim.

I've never bought from that seller but I also wouldn't have a problem doing so based on his feedback. Here's a link I found to their shop with contact information.

WestChester is an EBMM dealer, I think that's why the are only selling to people in the US.

I think he should be ok to sell it Internationally Glen, as it's a used guitar.

Maybe one of our friendly dealers could confirm this?

He is offering to ship international, he just wont take paypal from international bidders. I have spoken to a few dealers in the US and they have told me they can sell used MM international, just not new one's.

I just recieved a mail from seller today stating that frets are 100% mint condition and everything is working.

So I bought my 4th Silo special

Can't wait for it to arrive. Usually takes from 1-4 weeks. I'll post pics ASAP of course
