Help with Sabre pickup info

What are my pickup cover options on a 1988 Sabre with no pole pieces showing? Can I change the pup covers from black to white? Can I change the covers to ones that show the polepieces? Where would I get new covers?

I don't think you have any real options.

The neck pickup (PUP) on the Sabre used to have 8 pole pieces like the bridge PUP. The neck PUP was latter redesigned and looks like two Jazz Bass PUPs side by side. In other words, the neck PUP on your Bass will have 16 pole pieces but the bridge PUP still has 8. At the same time as the redesign, the PUP covers were made so that the pole pieces were no longer visible.

I've never seen white PUP covers for the Sabre.
