Sounds like a great offer, if and when I am ready to play again I will definitely make a trip to see you to check out your collection. Afterwards, I will be calling Pete for another EBMM. I am trying new doctors and other methods of alternative treatment including yoga. Man, I moved out west and seem to be turning into one of the soy latte drinking, hybrid driving, tree-huggers :D ;)

I'm glad you're seeking alternative treatment. Sorry to hear about the soy latte, though. Think I've mentioned already how helpful I've found one of those Dyna-Flex gyro balls for relief of shoulder, arm and wrist pain. People may laugh, but it really works. I don't have a collection, just a couple of silos. Never say die, man. I deal with congestive heart failure every day, and I'm still just as ornery as ever. Yoga can be effective, as can things such as visualization techniques, but for me, goin' nuts on a guitar for an hour or two is more therapeutic.

Btw, no soy latte here, just fresh ground roasted coffee beans. You'll have to bring your own chocolate almond supreme royal flavored soy blend, and your own tree, I'm afraid.

Geez, I've never seen anything close to that bad on any of the guitars around here, not even cheap chinese jobs. Then again, the only shops I go to are (AFAIK) independently owned and operated. Not to say there aren't quality issues on some of the display guitares - sure, sharp fret ends, shoddy neck joints, poorly filed nuts, etc. - but a checked finish on a new Fender? Finish flaking off of a headstock on a new Gibson? That says just as much about the staff at some of these big box stores as it does about the companies themselves.

The worst part of it all is that even knowing that Fender's quality is not up to par with EBMM's, I still lust over a Jazzmaster (or Jaguar, depending on the day). But I think I'm just going to build my own. Better than giving the money to Fender...but not as good as giving it to EBMM! :D

You know, when I started getting back into the guitar, I wanted to get either a cool used G* or one of the American F*s and was actually told by a friend that was the way to go...

"Don't pay a ton of cash on a toy you may not use...get something cheap and save your money" was the exact statement.

I was set on a JP6 and now that I've placed the order AND found this amazing place...I can't tell believe how glad I am that I stuck to my guns and bought the guitar that I wanted!

Whether I ever do more than noodle in my Theater here, actually play somewhere with friends, make a dime playing or (hopefully) instill the same love for music that I have into one of my three boys...I can now say that I have a great instrument to make music with.

Maybe you should direct your buddy to this forum for a bit of reading. That should seal the deal!
