Yup! My JP 6 arrived today after 14 weeks and 6 days of excruciating waiting. And Im chuffed. So chuffed. The set up is fab. The tone is amazing. It plays itself. I just stand there and listen! Sigh! It's so cool to have a couple of fabby guitars to go between. And the Piezo. Its all just so sweet. Anyhoo, one question. Well a couple actually. Im getting a high pitched twang on my high E and B strings. I know this has been talked about by someone else with a similar problem. I do know that it's nothing serious. I'm guessing the nut needs some sort of application? What would that be and how do i do it? Also, my guitar came fresh from the factory but I would still love to know its official D.O.B. if that's ok. Thanks to everyone at EB. The wait was so worth it. Thanks to Kevin and Beth for their swift and friendly responses to my queries.
I have 1 ball!!!! :D :D :D :D

Im working on it. Going to nab my girlfriends digi cam and take some pics over the weekend. Hey, its snow covered here at the mo. Hmmmmmmm. that mystic dream finish would look awesome with a snowy background. But that might be risky.

DOB please ta :) G31109

Yea, just run a pencil through the nut slots. The graphite will be a good lubricant. That's the easiest fastest way to go I guess. And WHERE ARE THE PICS??? :)

"Big Bends Nut Sauce" is a great product for non-locking trem guitars - I used it on my JP6 with great success. It's available from Strings Direct or Stringbusters in the UK. You just dab a tiny amount into the nut slots and on the saddless on the bridge - it works a treat!

I have to say, it's pretty difficult to get pictures that do the mystic dream finish justice. Almost to the point that i was wondering if i should've ordered a different finish as i hadn't been too keen on the pics I'd seen on the forum. I can't stress enough, you have to see this finish in person to really appreciate it!
Also, I took a pic of the nut. Is that the compensated nut? I'm wondering because it is angled. Can anyone tell me?

I think the compensated nut has the extra cut-out on the neck side- not the headstock -I could be wrong though as I dont own one - yet :)
