Ouch... Sounds like you handled it like the cool customer you come across as. Me, would've been quite different. :)

Very sorry this happened... Your audience will still be here when you get back to it. :)

That sucks real bad. I sincerely wish you good luck finding the drive to fix it and get it back to where you want it. I've dropped guitars (strap locks don't always work as intended...) before and its one of the worst feelings in the world.

Damn dude, really sorry to hear it. I was really looking forward to the finished product.

Looking at post #124, who would have thought that big chunk of wood would have busted like that?

Best of luck doing the mental recovery and getting motivated to repair it.

I'll get her sorted guys. Just a kick in the balls is all. gonna be more bondo than wood left on this thing lmao! Oh well, not like it was a museum piece to begin with.

@ bhull -> There was NO warning either, It literally just snapped like a kit kat bar. Usually you kinda get the "breaking sound" and you can "oh crap!" and adjust it so it doesn't fall. I was standing there with the half of the stick in my hand just staring at the ground for a minute lol.

Looking at the picture of the damage...wait, was there a picture? Is this some sort of distraction for a big reveal? Hope so. Otherwise, hope all goes well with the repairs. This was shaping into a great project thread. Also, those pickups look great. Cheers, C.

:-/ Not a fan of those "teaser reveals" myself. In this case, its very much damaged. I didn't take a picture because I was so disgusted, but I've calmed down a bit.

Yikes. Top picture is a bit fuzzy but the damage seems minimal. Backside looks like a strip, sand and refinish - time consuming though. Not split in 2 though. All the best on the repairs. C.

Hey Bob, that's just a flesh wound. Not as bad as you think ;)
Seriously though, damn, what a bummer. You were on a nice roll there and it was shaping up nicely. Hopefully this one won't end up with the others piled in the closet.
