I think I've finally come to terms with the fact that I'll never be a Guitar God playing complex licks at the speed of light, nor will I ever have hot girls throwing their underpants at me, nor have a forest of thick hair on muscular forearms.

But, one day, I will definitely have a Majesty hanging from my wall, and that pleases me. :D

I'm a big EBMM fan and I hate to be that guy, but I don't really like the majesty. It reminds me of a parker fly guitar.

Sorry but that guitar just does not do it for me, personally I think it is ugly as hell. Looks like a Yamaha particle board guitar from a few years ago, as in the fret access is there. Just make a maple neck Petrucci standard and call it a day.

The guitar was made for Petrucci so the fact that it doesn't do it for you doesn't really matter. I don't like the look of the guitar either, though I'm not going to join a companies forum and with only my fourth post call their latest product "ugly as hell". Using some tact is always a cool route to go. Also, why would they just make a maple neck standard JP and call it a day? If JP wants something new and they are willing to make it for him that is amazing for JP and it certainly makes me respect EBMM even more. It shows they just want to give the artists what the artists want. Good for them.

Meh...it looks OK but that laser etch thing is an eyesore. Somewhat like a Parker Fly it seems, ergonomics wise.

Get the neck finished with some kind of sealant, I.E. like a Fender, Ibanez, Gibson, Etc. Just my 2c.

So in the week you have been here, you have had 1 contributing post to make. Sounds like a troll trying to be fed.

I personally love this guitar but I also recognize that this guitar was made for John Petrucci and not me. So what matters most is if he likes the guitar and I'm pretty sure he does considering he and EBMM have been developing this guitar for quite some time together.

Maybe you need to talk to JP and get that hashed out with him. You don't like the guitar...cool. To each his own. No need to be insulting. It is what JP wants and that is what EBMM makes for him. EBMM isn't just cranking out guitars just for the heck of it. They take a ton of input from the endorsed artist (name on the headstock is a good indicator) and make the tool to the artists liking. Overpaid - being over played at this point.

More importantly, if anyone believes that JP gives a hoot about a few negative opinions, well......

Everybody's got one..... ;)

Hoshino Gakki, is that you? Look, my friend, I know you guys are still sore over losing the JP contract some years ago, but the uncouth reverse psychology ain't gonna make no difference here, man. We have JP and we're going to keep him and by god BP is gonna do what it takes to piss the world off and make some epic history.

Love,

Today JP has played with the Majesty in the Madrid concert. It has been his first time using it live. He played the whole show with two of them: a 7 string in black mate and a 6 string in mystic blue.

Sorry, I have made no photos, but probably you will find them tomorrow if you search for "Dream Theater Madrid".

Gorgeus guitar.

If you saw the 13th, then it is not the Madrid show, but the one in Porto. He played all the Madrid concert with two Majestys. I was in the front line.

Breaking all Illusions is the only song in the entire set in which he played with another guitar (the one black with green drawings).
