I know this was somewhat covered before but. I really need your help
I own a silo spl. HSS stock.
I own a Van Halenized Strat with a bridge Bill Lawrence L500L.
and a 500k vol pot, no tone, no caps nadda, nothing else

Now i find the strat to be brighter, snappyer then the silo.
I find the silo a bit "muddyer"
When i first pick up a guitar on a certain day they each sound fine
but when i switch there is a tonal differences that bugs me:(
I would like the best of both worlds. a snappyer silo and a little less bright strat  Keep in mind that...
I leave my volume on full and leave it there 99% of the time
I leave my tone on full.... 100% of the time ( i don't use it)
So here are my questions.

1) if i change the vol pot on my silo for a 500k. when used on full, will it change the tone (make it brighter) ?
2) if i bypass the tone knob on the silo, will this brighten it even more?
3) if i change the vol pot on my strat for a 250K will it cut the highs a bit?

I really don't want to mess with the silo but if i have to....
BTW I play classic to heavier rock threw a Marshall JCM800 2203
and a slew of Keeley stuff... Take a look

Thanks for your help

Yes, the tone will be brighter and a little "airier".

Yes, but be warned that straight-to-jack single coils can sound a bit thin. Humbuckers shouldn't have an issue.

Yep. 250K is about the only pot I'll use with single coils.

Hope this helps.
