Y ou know after experiencing the quality of my petrucci model i really want to get a couple other EB's hahah. Man... im hooked. I love these guitars.

I'm really thinking about getting an Axis now... theres one on ebay right now that i just love. It looks great.

i dont think EB makes this color anymore but is there somthign close to it?

Does it cost more to get a quilt top as opposed to a flame top?

anyways... i love the look, the quality and the tone. Thank God for EB guitars haha

No, from what I understand is that you can't specify whether you want flame or quilt, without upgrading.

This looks like it might be an upgrade. It certainly looks nice.

How much of an upgrade is it to get a quilt top like that? probably like 4-500$ extra...

all in all... an axis with honeyburst finish/match headstock would be a really nice compliment to my petrucci ... haha... i've got a thing for red when it comes to guitars. I dont really dig red for anything else ( clothes, cars, etc...) but when it comes to guitars i really like red/or red burst/ or how about just really warm colors in general? haha

I'm right there with you re: red guitars...I just ordered an Axis SS in Cherry Burst w/ matching headstock with the upgraded quilt top. In fact it's almost exactly like ZigiStar's:

Mine will have MM90's, though. The upgraded top is a $500 option and you can choose quilt or flame.

I'm not expecting it until July but I will be posting pics once it's here...

I'd be inclined to offer up that guy $800 for it. Then again I'm not on the JP tip. Tho' I do have stuff I can sell to get the scratch up. He lives by me.
