Hey BP: Any inside skinny on the Markbass stuff

After my experience with the Audiophile stuff, I definitely want to check out the Mark bass head and cabs.

The SVT is too heavy for me(not much into Graphic EQ's either,too many choices), i'd take the Little Mark

It's weird hearing you guys talk so highly about GK, I'm not trying to talk it down, but we have big problems here with the supplier, takes FOREVER to get any parts or a replacement from them, really makes life hard, o hard infact that we no longer stock them as a floor item :/

I'm buying a new head latter this year, and It's really down to a Boogie or a Markbass...or an Ampeg.......or an Avalon with poweramp.....or a better Ag......damn it!!! To much good gear!!!

Also, I don't agree that the markBass cabs are inferior to any other cab, including bergs, schroeds, epis, aggies or any other. They have real intersting drivers and good workmanship on the boxes.

I actually got a good sound out of a Crate with my Stingray 5

I have one of their battery powered "Limo" and I have to say it a great little amp, for wind controller stuff and not bad for bass practice too, but I sort of miss stuff falling off shelves .

tough decision between the 810 or
410hlf tho - I liked the 410hlf (mini-fridge).

Yes. A quality tube preamp plus a monster solid state power amp.

Lets see here. Berg HT210S, 55lbs (not bad), rated @ 500W (more than I'll probably ever need), Sens. of 100dB (again, more than I'll ever need) but rated only down to 45Hz. How'd the cab handle the Low B?

Tom, the low B on the HT210S was unreal. First because of how the cab specs on paper. Second, because it was just flat out HUGE and clear. I didnt expect 10s to perform like that. The cool thing was that the HT210S was just so loud, and could handle MASSIVE loads of power from the SVT Classic, and EA iAmp I auditioned it with. Seemed to get better the louder I got, and didnt feel pushed too hard. Really, once you hear it, youll see how hard it is to put words on this cab.
