Inspired by the AL perhaps?

Song Guitars AC Model

Almost like a blend of Albert Sig. and PRS Custom attributes, and available as a bolt-on or set neck.

I'd like to see one in person...

The Talbo is a good guitar and was introduced in the 80's. A friend of mine still has his. If you take a look at the last post on this page you will see what the AL could look like as a bass guitar!!!

Now that's Jetsons!!!

I think an Albert Lee bass would look better than that though. I'm not being biased either.

Okay, help me understand this... how'd the thread about a hand-made Canadian Albert Lee/PRS Custom hybrid get turned around to talk about the Talbo (which was/is a cool guitar, but seems to just parachute in here out of the blue)

 :)

It was all down to timing Jimi.

I'd been around my mates guitar workshop the previous day. Hanging up on a peg was his Talbo. I had a reminisce with him about that guitar and had forgotton that he once had one. There was a similarity to the AL (in it's own inimitable way!), and maybe some of the younger "knuckleheads" had never seen this guitar.

I visited the forum 24 hours later, and your post kicked in those thoughts.

Sorry if I kinda hijacked things - it's a trait that's common in my classes when I sometimes go off at a tangent - if you taught what I did , that is a good thing.
Without giving away too much of what I do, lets just say that 6 hours of fiscal tuition can get a triffle boring Ha!

No no... it's cool Spud... my question stemmed from the fact that for some bizarro reason, I could not see the "Tokai Talbo" link in your first post on this thread until this morning, so I was reading your post as "what about the ???" and then the next post by lenny was equally obtuse, and then there was a link to a thread with a pic of a Talbo bass and I had no idea what was going on!! :)

Now I'm back on track... Anyone remember an old '80s anime series called Bubblegum Crisis - the guitarist in Priss's band ('The Replicants') played a Talbo - that's where I first saw one... :D

Phew - I thought I may have kicked something off !! I saw some of your ex-guitars on your web site, and I see you once owned a Tokai. Infact you've owned more guitars than I've played - a great collection, not like me whose only changed his guitar from a Watkins Rapier 44 to a Gibby SG then my Les Paul.

Anyway I'm sidetracking again oops!

Nah I don't remember the Anime series but I never gave them much attention.

Anyway I'm a confirmed AL guy and will be getting another in the new year.

I'll start cleaning the ashes off then ;)

With all the Proto's flying around right now, they might have an AL Bass :D

I think Tokai guitars are ugly personally, even though I own one:

A 1985 F*nder Strat made under contract by Tokai when F*nder had no plant or equipment - a Jap Strat they call them.

And it plays and sounds great, but the guitars they've made on their own with "Tokai" branding - yuk.

I stick with EBMM from here on out, thanks. Nice color on the Song model, though.

BP - ADD yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What were we talking about?
