I don't think Gibson make boxes like they used to, but I hear they're bringing out a VOS box soon. It'll be just like they were in 1959, right down to the glue and staples, with the correct logo and everything. However, it will cost about £500 (assuming that they'll let you post prices anywhere ever).

Beautiful guitar and excellent pictures. Is that sunshine I can see?

Plenty of Sunshine.... we could actually really use some rain. Last year was our driest season on record.

As for the Gibson box... I was a bit surprised myself. However, it did the job. ;)

I was playing both Silos for a while this afternoon. They actually do sound quite different. The Silo Spec just gets some awesome blues tones with the Silent Circuit... I can't quite duplicate it on the 20th. But for the really mellow rhythms and for other lead guitar parts, the 20th sounds better to my ears. Both play great, so it's tough choosing which one to bring to practice on Tuesday. ;)
