yeah I saw the pic, I've also seen bitchin' about it at the JP forums, so maybe let's not discuss it too much, maybe it was for the photos purpose, maybe he needed a change so cool to me, he is still a kicka** guitar player and I love him :D

so what about that D-sonic? I'm guessing that it will be available in the Pet model after the NAMM?

To be honest who cares how he has his hair? what he dresses like? etc etc, he's an absolutely champ on the axe, and thats all that matters.

Scott.

Much like Vai's more recent photos there is a slightly camp (or downright homosexual) type thing going on.......

Dave

P.S. Not that I have anything against people with a different sexual orientation from myself - for goodness sake I've been out with Luke!

Who cares? I mean, really. Peeps complaining about his hair?!?!?

Dude is an awesome player. That's all that should matter when it comes to the music. Like many of us here, we met him at the Open House and he is such a cool dude and has no problem taking the time to spend with us. It was his and his wife's anniversary weekend (I do believe) when he came out to the Open House. That says something.........CLASS ACT!

Things have been going great for me. Getting much needed "family time" in and not having to worry about nothing. Been playing the bejeezus out of my bass, writing music with some dudes and having a ball.

Speaking of balls, I see you got three more.....hehehehe....gotta love that addiction!

I looked at the website and didn't find him to look any certain way? I am not a star struck kind of person, so I don't pay all that much attention to people and if I met JP on the street I wouldn't know who he was anyway. If I had to comment, I would say he looks like a rock star, nothing more nothing less.

HA! that's great. I had a friend in NYC that started getting male pattern baldness when he was in his early 20's. so he shaved it back into the traditional samurai pony tial/flip-back-forward-over-top -of-head thing. he was trying to run off a girlfriend he repeatedly broke up with and coulden't get rid of. it worked. but only after he started wearing an eyepatch...

how does the dsonic compare to the stock PU's in the JP? (actually through a set-up that us normal folk can afford... not the mission control sized construct that Jp has...:D )

and for you star trek fans out there... doesn't he look VAGUELY like the evil spock from that one episode of the original series where kirk has that transporter mishap and ends up in the evil mirror universe? (fear not... I'm wayyy too far away for any of you to actually hunt me down and stuff me in a dumpster for saying that :D ) - having made my star trek joke, I actually find it amusing when these guys swap up their hairstyles. think about it,nearly every girl who changes her hair after a breakup says that it somehow effects her life and causes a noticable difference in their feelings about herself... so coulden't it stand to reason that how big time guitar players feel about their hair may impact their lives in such a way that it filters into their playing in some small way?

as an example, I offer you one edward van halen: long hair= good playing. bad attitude or not, old VH was pretty darn good... BUTTT... short hair= what I would define as something of a low point in his playing. and frankly, he really hasn't ever hit that stride he had before he stopped playing the best guitars on the planet and lost some kind of wager that resulted in him having to change his appearence to match that of any given escaped con you'd see a picture of while standing in line at the post office...

My wife likes that idea and is going to buy an eyepatch
