My SR5 took a plunge on stage with my last band and hit the knobs on singer/guitar player's amp. You can see the details of the knob in the dent left on my neck.

...I never did like that guy.

What have i had happen to my gear...

When I was younger (about 11) I had an 80's Gibson Flying V that I had leaned up against my dresser. The Family pet (A CAT) ran by and knocked it over and snapped the headstock clean off and split the fretboard right down the middle.

From that day on I learned to have my guitar in a case when it's not being played. I am beyond anal when it comes to keeping my gear is great condition. The only difference between my guitars and a brand new one is the "MOJO" and the pick scratches (but those get buffed out once a month) Other than that my awex are SWEET!

My fretless Sterling has a decent-sized ding through the finish from a flying Dunlop straplock -- I was flipping the strap over my shoulder and the straplock hit the bass. I've dinged a couple of headstocks on cymbals at band practice, but the most painful accident I've had was a couple of years ago. I had waited five or six months for a S@dowsky jazz with matching headstock, and it showed up a couple of days before a gig. I took it to the gig and was as careful as I could be, and I thought it made it through clean. Took it home that night, and pulled it out of the case for a final inspection. I lifted it up to check the body and hit the headstock on a ceiling fan that chipped the finish. I'm going to get the headstock refinished one of these days, but every time I see that chip it pisses me off.
