I think, from reading the entire thread again, which is why I get paid the big money here, the deal wasn't that they wouldn't special order a Bongo - they were perfectly willing to do that.

What they didn't want to do, someone correct me if I'm wrong, is order one to hang on the wall and see if anyone wanted it. To keep a Bongo or two in stock.

By the way, I met the Commandant of the United States Marine Corps once; I had to get him to meetings with foreign officials, make sure he didn't eat bad food, that terrorists didn't steal his luggage, stuff like that, and anyway, his name was "Krulak".

So after we'd been hanging out a day or two, I said, "Krulak! Sounds like one of those Vulcan dudes from Star Trek. Krulak!"

He didn't think it was amusing AT ALL.

I do have to say that "Krulak" is quite possibly one of the most fun words to say outloud that I've seen in a long time.
