A beer in a can dropped in a tub of ice can achieve drinking temperature in 7.26 minutes, where as a bottle of beer takes… well I’m not sure how long it takes, but too damn long.

Not if you place the bottle in ice and spin it for about a minute...will beat the pants off your 7.26 minute can method.....rookie!

Hey a beer shouldn’t be work, beer is anti-work.

And in the case of an emergency I can chill a six pack with a fire extinguisher in 2 seconds flat! ;)

Ah yes, one of the best piece's of advice my father ever gave me. The other was using a stop sign as a BBQ plate.

I like beer in cans for only one reason, the chill down faster. “Cold Beer” is an entity unto it’s self.

You can learn a lot by watching Mythbusters.

Such as the demonstrated fact that adding a bunch of table salt to the ice water in your cooler significantly reduces the time it takes to chill your beer (and makes it frostier, to boot).

Better living through chemistry.

Yeah, I remember doing that in middle school... 'supercooling' some water by adding salt and surrounding it with an ice bath. (The salt lowers the freezing point so that the water can get below zero celsius without freezing.) Then, once you get it down below zero celsius, you can drop something into the water and the entire vessel of water will turn to ice instantly. You can also give it a good bump to make it freeze over. Fun stuff!
