Hey Everybody What's Doin'?
I finally found out there was an EBMM forum from a buddy of mine and since I am about to become the proud papa of a Custom Axis I figured what the hell, I might as well join the family right?
Anyway I ordered back in early March of this year. I did an Axis in Tobacco Burst with a Premium Quilt Top option and matching headstock option as well, hopefully the top will surpass everything else I own as will the finish and have a massivly figured Birdseye neck and fingerboard. as this is my first Custom order sight unseen, in fact unplayed as well. I just bought it on a whim and a prayer!
So I am still waiting although i am growing real antsy as the days roll on. It's already paid for in full too.
My other guitars are....
Peavey Wolfgang Special Quilttop/Birdseye Custom Shop from the Peavey Custom Shop in Purple Quilt which is the other one I just ordered but have to wait almost 6 months for as well!
ESP Eclipse II Standard in Vintage Cherry Honeyburst with an awesome quilt top, Sperzels and EMG's.
Ibanez SZ 520 Quilt Top in Honeyburst with PRS Mark Tremonti Pickups
1985 Ibanez Proline Refurbed by myself, in natural finish with EMG's and a Floyd Rose Licensed Bridge. The neck on this is to die for and it sounds so thick!
Hamer Chapperrall with Duncan 59 in the bridge Charcoal Sparkle Finish ( Kinda Retired)
Kramer Baretta with a Warmoth replacement neck!
So I've got some nice axes to base the Axis on whenever she decides to arrive!
For an amp setup I use a rack system which consists of a Furman Digital Power Conditioner/Monitor, into a Line 6 POD XT Pro, then into a BBE 862i Sonic Maximizer, then into a Mesa Boogie Stereo Rectifier Two One Hundred Power Amp out to a pair of Genz Benz G Flex 2/12 Cabinets. Before my signal sees the preamp I am using it with a Sony UHF Wireless and a VHT Valvulator Tube Buffer!
I play primarily rock and am into Van Halen, the whole 80's movement as well as the current stuff you hear today in the rock and heavy alternative formats.
Looking forward to posting in the future and I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Axis even more than the Wolfgang Special Custom Shop!
