hey yo - what's a good small practice amp

my bass rig is at our practice space and i only get to use it on the weekends...i tried using headphones thru my effects pedal but it's just not loud enough (and sounds like crap). and thru my computer & speakers but my soundcard can't handle the low frequencies. so i am looking for a small, like 10" combo amp, that can sound great (or good, i'll accept good) but not shake down the house. i know there's a bunch out there..some are cheap and some are pricey..but i think i would be comfortable spending up to $200 on one. any suggestions?

I have this one and I'm pretty happy with it, although I've read great reviews about this other amp.

I use A marshall 65 watt'er... most people laugh when I say my small amp... but it is really good... in that it only cost circa AUD600 and doubles as a practice amp as well as intimate gig amp......

I use an old (80's) Roland Bass Cube 100, and sometimes it makes it into a low key gig too. Those can be picked up dirt cheap, and there's a DI as well as a hole where you stuff the power cord. Sounds good, too. 12", but so what?

The new Eden silver series combos are great too. They got a 2X8 + tweeter model which is small in size but sounds amazing. You can also use it for small gigs or add additional cab for bigger situations.

is that a backline amp? i decided to go with a backline 110.

i almost just said screw it and was gonna get the cheapest little thing i could find. but then i started hearing that active basses can sometimes distort those tiny ones, so i chose one with a pad switch. anyways, it's paid for so this decision has been made.

edit: the gk was backordered and i changed my mind...haha god i'm such an indecisive person. and it's funny how the intention to purchase the cheapest little amp possible somehow turned into buying a nemesis n10s

Get a Yorkville 50KW keyboard wedge. 10" and 50 watts. The thing is 26 pounds and loud for its size. Sounds very very nice. The second channel makes mixing in a CD a snap. Also, you can use it for vocals or a ghetto blaster while you're not playing bass.
