To hell with plain old sparkle - now I want FLAMES!

This place is getting very popular. How cool is that?

For those of you who lurk or just joined or can't follow the bouncing ball, the person known as "Big Poppa", the guy who just invited you to pick his brain?

That's Sterling Ball, so he might know the answers to all the interesting questions, such as "Why does my arm hurt when I do this?"

Okay, maybe not that one, but questions about EBMM basses, guitars, shirts and martinis?

He's pretty good on those subjects.

We also have other factory guys here to field the simple things and the even simpler things can sometimes be answered by the moderators.

Now get to typing, lads.

This is my first stop on all of the bass boards everyday and I spend the most time here because of the fantastic environment and great people here. It's just amazing to me that the owner of such a large, successful company like Ernie Ball MusicMan, takes the time to join in the fun and shares so much with us. Cheers to everyone here and everyone at SLO. I'm looking forward to meeting you all in September.

I have a question for ya....BP

Were things like pickup placement on the bongo/2 pickup serling(or ray) a trial and error process, theoretical closer to the neck=deeper and we want a deep soound, or did they have some sort or gigantic mathmatical equation behind them?

Did someone ask for a commitment about lefty Bongo’s? I consider that an invitation! :D

I really do want a lefty Bongo, I know I sound like a broke record, but out of my eleven basses only one is an EBMM. That simply is not enough! My SR5 is my favorite bass, the quality and sound are in a league of its own, not to mention it’s a lefty, something MOST manufactures don’t offer!

Having Big Poppa and the rest of the gang here makes this place one of my favorite hang outs as well. I’ve learned a lot here and the level of fellowship at this site is truly great. Try to find that at some of the DAW manufactures forums.

So I too invite the lurkers to join in, especially you fellow left handers! (There is power in numbers; if enough of us join in we might even see the piezo option come our way.) :D
