Hey Guys! This is my first official post on the Ernieball Forum woohooooooo :D

I play John Petrucci's signature musicman and I am wondering if anybody could help me. I use Super slinky strings by Ernieball and they break dead easily on my JP musicman. Is there any reason for this? If anyone could get back to me it would be great!

Hey Stephen, another shout from across the Pond!

Just so you know, EB strings "don't break" dead easy on anything!!!

Need more info than that: Where, when, etc. . . . .:)

Hi Ste. Another UK'er:)

I have had my JP for a few weeks now. I gig 3 times a week and practice daily too. Other than the JP, I play a Luke. I've been playin MM now for.....y'know, I can't remember, but I think its maybe 8 months. Anyhoo, in that time, I have broken 1 string.
I change the strings every 5-6 gigs (2 weeks) and keep em clean in between. I play Super Slinky 9 - 42.
Sound like you have a problem either with the JP or ya style of playing. I used to break strings weekly, but I changed my style of playing, and now I don't.

Welcome onboard dude, its nice here. as TNT says, need the info....

Welcome to the forum Stephen!
